Community festival celebrates the arts in Langley

The 3rd annual Lantern Festival is taking place in Langley this February. It is a presentation of the City of Langley and the Langley Art Council.

There are expected to be over 150 handmade cotton paper lanterns on display during the festival. These lanterns were made earlier in February at local schools, community centers and senior's centers in Langley; for example, at the Langley Art Council Gallery, each person took part in a 90 minute workshop in which they paid $5 to create their own.

In addition to the display, there will also be live musical entertainment, dance performers and free appetizers for everyone.

The festival aims to show that everyone is capable of creating art and that it is a way that can bring people together to celebrate their community.

The organizers of the festival might choose to advertise it by investing in flyer printing services from Langley Print companies. Flyers are among the most reasonably prices products for advertising an upcoming event quickly. Flyers can be handed out on street corners, distributed to community centers and even delivered door to door without any extra cost.

The Lantern Festival is being held at Douglas Community Centre on February 22 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. To find out more about the festival, call 604-514-2940.
