The Fort Langley Jazz and Arts Festival is taking place on the last weekend of this month.
The festival will feature performances from various jazz and rhythm and blues artists, as well as visual arts displays. There is also a self-guided Art Walk of local galleries and studios, art demonstrations, and an art auction.
Some of the musical artists who are set to perform this year are the WOW Jazz Orchestra, the Louie Quinn Band with Dutch Robinson and the City Soul Choir. There will also be a community dance for those aged 19 and over that will feature a tribute to Motown dance. In addition, several buskers will be performing on the streets of Fort Langley.
There will be a jazz workshop and jam in Community Hall, the chance to build Jazz Town in clay. A popular event is sure to be the Mardi Gras parasol parade that will begin at 9:30 on July 28. It will travel from the Fort Langley Farmers’ Market to Community Hall.
Some parade participants may invest in banner printing services from a Langley print company to help them identify the group they are representing.
The Fort Langley Jazz and Arts Festival will be held over the July 28 to 29 weekend. Visit the event website to learn more.
