Edmonton Valley Zoo has several events taking place that are sure to please everyone. All are fundraising events for the Valley Zoo Development Society.
For those who have not finished their Christmas shopping yet, the All Wrapped Up event is just for them. Several vendors will be on hand while visitors can enjoy wine, cheese, and chocolate.
This will be followed by the ‘Festival of Light’ which will take place for 10 days. There will be artistic light installations, fire dancers, a maze and DJs. Elsa and Olaf will make appearances and visitors can pose for pictures with the reindeer. In addition, there will be hot chocolate and glitter tattoos.
Another event, which is sold out already, is the ARK Project Date Night Plus, slated for December 10. Tickets were $75 and include music, wine, and whisky samplings and hors d'oeuvres.
Organizers are still looking for volunteers who will likely come from Edmonton and Sherwood Park to help. No doubt Signs will be posted throughout the zoo in order to attract them.
All Wrapped Up will be held on December 3 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Festival of Light will run from December 4 to 13. Admission to the zoo is $7.50 for adults and $5 for children between the ages of 3 and 12. Visit the Edmonton Valley Zoo website for the latest information.
