Sherwood Park families with a child registered in the Play and Learn at School (PALS) program may want to check out a session that will help them make the transition to kindergarten.
Each of these workshops will show families how they can build upon the skills that the children have already been learning in the PALS program. There are two dates to choose from, and the organizers have explained that this will make it easier for parents and caregivers to accommodate the session in their schedules.
The workshops, which are intended for parents and guardians, will explore a variety of ways they can support their child’s switch to kindergarten, and the goal is for the families to walk away feeling confident they can help their child make the move. They will learn how to prepare them for a classroom setting, and an afternoon and evening class are both available.
While an event like this offers a lot of information, it is often not possible to include everything in a set timeframe. A brochure printing company will be able to supply learning material for the occasion so that the attendees will be able to continue learning after the event.
PALS program parents are invited to register now for the Transitioning to Kindergarten session. It will be offered online on May 26th and June 1st.
