Sherwood Park residents living with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) may appreciate an opportunity to gather some new knowledge about how to manage the condition, and an upcoming workshop will provide them with a chance to do so.
The Managing Your IBS class will be offered in person this December, and it will be facilitated by a registered dietitian. The participants can learn, meet others who are living with IBS and ask any questions they have, and it will be free to attend.
The two-hour session will cover an assortment of topics related to the self-management of IBS, and common triggers will be discussed. Tips for minimizing symptoms and having a good quality of life will be shared with the group, and when the class wraps up, everyone will walk away with both increased knowledge and advice on where to go to learn more.
A health-related class like this can be very beneficial to those who take part. A brochure printing company can prepare information packets to hand out, which will make it easier for the participants to keep on learning after an activity has drawn to a close.
The Sherwood Park Strathcona County Primary Care Network will be running the Managing Your IBS workshop on December 12th. It will start at 5:30 pm, and it will be held at 108, 150 Broadway Crescent.
