Sherwood Park workshop to craft colourful holiday dcor

An urn filled with colourful greenery and other natural elements can be the final piece of decking out a home for the holidays, and a workshop will help Sherwood Park residents create these decorative items.

Salisbury Greenhouse’s Urn Class tends to be popular, and the business decided to bring it back for another year. It will be a hands-on activity, and those who register are asked to bring along a sharp pair of clippers to use while they complete their project.

The facilitator will teach how to assemble materials such as dogwood branches, berries, evergreens, ribbon and other elements in a way that’s pleasing to the eye, and the instruction is on offer free of charge. The only cost is for the items they use, and these will all be available at the greenhouse. Each registrant will be asked to make a deposit of $10 to reserve their space, and they can then use this towards the purchase of branches or other pieces they select.

Offering a workshop like this can be a fun way for a greenhouse or garden centre to attract new customers. A printing services company can offer ways to promote functions to the local area.

Salisbury Greenhouse will be offering its Urn class on various dates starting in November. They tend to be popular, and it's expected that they will fill up quickly.
