Sherwood Park to host plant workshop

A Sherwood Park workshop will see cat lovers constructing feline-friendly dish gardens, and with lots of adoptable cats on site for the occasion, they may even go home with a new furry friend.

Salisbury Greenhouse has planned a Cat Garden activity. It will be on offer free of charge, and all the participants will need to pay for is the plants, container and any decorations used. The listing explained that these tend to cost around $35.

The facilitator for the class will offer tips for choosing plants that do well together in a single planting, and they will also ensure that the selections will be safe for cats. They will walk the attendees through the process of constructing their garden so that it will last for a long time to come. Second Chance Animal Rescue Society will be partnering with the greenhouse for the event, and there will be kittens and cats on site for the participants to meet and, hopefully, adopt.

Partnering with a not-for-profit group for a hands-on activity likes this gives a business an easy way to give back to the local corporate community. A poster printing company will be able to lend a hand in marketing these events to the public.

Salisbury Greenhouse has made plans to offer this feline-friendly planting workshop on October 30th. It will start at 10:00 am.
