Sherwood Park to host fall plant sale pop-up

Fall can be a good time of the year to install perennials, trees, shrubs and other plants in a home garden, and a Sherwood Park fundraiser will soon help local gardeners to get growing.

Early September will see the Strathcona County Garden Club host its Annual Plant Sale. Everyone is invited, with parents welcome to bring the kids along so they can help pick out new additions to their family’s garden, and admission will be free.

The shoppers will find everything from perennials to houseplants available for purchase, and the venue is accessible to anyone who requires a mobility device or a guide dog. Anyone who would like to lend a hand by donating their extra outdoor or indoor plants or gardening items is encouraged to contribute them to the sale, and it has been requested that they be labelled so the species and cultivar can be easily identified.

Plant sales and the horticultural activities can bring those who enjoy gardening together. A flyer printing company will be able to offer a variety of ways of marketing a local event like this.

The Strathcona County Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale is set to welcome shoppers on Saturday, September 7th. It will be open from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Strathcona House, which is located at 1 Broadmoor Boulevard.
