Sherwood Park to craft festive floral arrangements

When it comes to holiday decor, Mother Nature can provide lots of inspiration, and an upcoming Sherwood Park workshop will be using an assortment of natural materials to prepare festive table centrepieces.

Salisbury Greenhouse has scheduled a class that will craft long lasting, living centrepieces. Floral foam will be incorporated in the design so that they will be easy to care for, and the techniques may be used to prepare other arrangements.

The participating learners will be working with greenery, berries and other items, and if there are any leftovers, there may be time to use them to craft an evergreen piece. Gloves are recommended, and everyone has been asked to leave any plant materials at home, as this will help to prevent the spread of pathogens. Tickets are $20, and a portion of this will be returned to the attendees to use towards their purchase of materials for their project.

Flower arranging can be both fun and relaxing. A workshop like this can provide an opportunity to learn both beginner and advanced techniques, and tip sheets for such events can be prepared by Stationery printers.

Salisbury Greenhouse is set to teach the fundamentals of arranging a festive living centrepiece at its Holiday Centrepiece workshop on December 17th. It will begin at 2:00 pm, and passes are available through Eventbrite.
