Sherwood Park session to introduce charcuterie boards

When it comes to entertaining, a charcuterie board can be a host’s best friend, and a Sherwood Park activity will introduce participants to ingredients that may be sourced from the local area.

The workshop will give registrants a chance to discover what is on offer when it comes to ingredients for a charcuterie selection, and locally prepared foods, such as cured meats and cheeses, will be featured. The function will open with drinks, snacks and socializing, and the ticket price is $180 for a pair of tickets.

Once everyone has arrived and is settled in for the activity, Chef Peter Keith will walk them through the steps of putting together their own board, and both drink pairings and presentation will be covered. Each couple will create their own charcuterie board, and before they head for home, everyone will be invited to share their boards, along with a glass of wine.

Offering a class like this in fall will give the attendees an opportunity to learn how to be a better host before the holiday season kicks off. Tip sheets and other handouts for the occasion may be prepared by a local flyer printing business.

The Charcuterie Class with Meuwly’s will be on offer on October 16th. St. Albert Parish in Sherwood Park will be the venue for the workshop.
