Sherwood Park offers plenty of options for New Year's Eve

The residents of Sherwood Park are gearing up for night of fun, with the New Year's Eve Festival set to take place across a number of the city’s venues. The event is suitable for the entire family and is presented by Citizens on Patrol, the RCMP, and the Strathcona County Library.

The theme for this year is ‘western’ and everyone is encouraged to come dressed appropriately. There will be plenty of fun on offer in such venues as Festival Place, the Strathcona County Community Center, and the Sherwood Park Arena.

There are going to be many outdoor activities for people of all ages to take part in, including an ice playground with a slide, a maze, skating rink, hockey games, snow sculptures, and horse drawn sleigh rides for $1. Festival Place will have stalls offering face painting and western crafts. Free hot chocolate will also be available.

The evening will finish off with a fireworks display at Broadmoor Lake Park, beginning at 8:00pm. It should be the perfect way to welcome the New Year.

The organizers of such events usually try to make their venues attractive to visitors and items such as colorful Banners can add to the excitement. Sherwood Park printing companies are often asked to provide such products.

The New Year's Eve celebration will take place from 4:00-8:00pm at various locations in the city - admission is free. For more information, call Melanie Larson at 780-464-8013 or get in touch with Tracy Gravelle on 780-400-2028.
