Sherwood Park shoppers who are hoping to get their holiday gift buying complete before the rush may want to make plans to attend an area market that has been organized by the Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts (ACUA).
The group has planned a Christmas Art Market, and it will offer something for everyone on people’s gift lists. There will be thousands of items on offer, all of them hand crafted, distinct and produced by local artisans. Everything from soft silk printed scarves to jewelry, one-of-a-kind gloves made from felted wool, handmade purses, pottery, works of art and more will be on display to browse through and buy.
As they hunt for hidden treasures, guests at the event will be able to socialize and mingle with one another and enjoy the holiday tunes that will be playing. The proceeds from the market will both will help support area artists while assisting the ACUA in nurturing the community’s creative side.
