A gingerbread house building contest can make the holiday season even more exciting, and one such competition planned for Sherwood Park will let young people show off their own personal sense of decorating style.
This free competition will take place online, and each household is welcome to register one entry. The supplies needed will be prepackaged for pick up, and the registration system for this youth friendly activity is now open.
Each family or group is asked to stop by Family Community Services, which can be found at 401 Festival Lane in Sherwood Park, to pick up their kit. Mystery items will be included in each package, and there will be surprise challenges and other unexpected fun. Prizes will be awarded to the top entries, and anyone who has questions has been asked to call the organizers.
Hosting an activity like this offers a way to keep kids connected even if they have to stay at home due to COVID-19. Stationery printers will be able to prepare certificates to present to each participant of an event like this to thank them for getting involved, and they can also craft special Corporate Gifts to present to the winners.
The date for the Gingerbread Build-Off is set for December 23rd, and the supplies can be obtained on December 21st. The competition will run from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.
