Sherwood Park event to take on trash

Communities all over the globe face the challenge of what to do with their trash, and an upcoming in-person event will provide the chance to learn how Sherwood Park takes care of this problem.

Broadmoor Lake Park is set to host an event that will provide insight into how Strathcona County takes care of its solid waste, and there will be lots of free, hands-on fun. It may be of interest to all ages, and the goal is for everyone to walk away with a better understanding and appreciation of the area's waste disposal system and those who keep them running.

The attendees at the function will be able to get a sneak peek at a waste collection truck so they can learn how they operate, and they can ask questions as well. There will be interactive games along with information booths and kiosks, and admission will be free. The venue is accessible to those who require a mobility device, and trained guide dogs are permitted.

Knowing how their local public service operates can be part of being an informed citizen, and many communities choose to host these types of events. Banner printing and other services for an activity can be supplied by area Print professionals.

This summer activity, which has been dubbed TrashFEST, is set to take place on August 20th. Its agenda will get started at 4:00pm.
