Sherwood Park class to share secrets of sprouting

A workshop is scheduled to take place at Salisbury Greenhouse in Sherwood Park to teach attendees about growing herbs and microgreens at home.

The two hour long session will cover the basics of sprouting and growing both herbs and microgreens. These can be delicious if grown and sprouted correctly and participants will be invited to do some taste testing too. This way, they will know what sprouts they enjoy the most and also have some ideas of how they can be added to different dishes.

The instructional portion of the event is free, and the only cost associated with taking a seat in the workshop is a deposit of $10, which can be used to purchase any materials desired, such as a tray for growing microgreens or a pot for herbs. Those who register are welcome to bring along a pot of their own if they prefer.

To help prevent the spread of disease and pests, the organizers of the function have requested that no outside plants be brought into the greenhouse. Instruction sheets and growing guides for an event like this can be crafted by a Print shop that produces Brochures and other materials.

Salisbury Greenhouse is accepting registrations for its Sprouting Microgreens and Herbs class. It will be taking place on February 23rd and March 16th.
