Sherwood Park class to prepare cat gardens

A cat-friendly planting session is set to be held in Sherwood Park, and those who participate will go home with a special gift for their favourite feline.

Salisbury Greenhouse has added a workshop to its agenda that will see community members prepare their own cat garden. The plants that will be incorporated in the final design will all be safe for felines, and all of the instructions needed for the project will be provided.

The attendees will only be asked to pay for any plants or other materials they wish to use, and the organizers have explained that this tends to come in at around $35, which includes the container. To make the activity even more fun, there will be some adoptable cats to meet courtesy of the Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS). A depot of $10 is required to secure a seat, and this will be put towards the cost of materials.

Whether for cats or people, a dish garden can be a very attractive arrangement. As each of the plants may need different care, organizers of a horticultural workshop like this often supply printed care and tip sheets, which can be provided by Stationery printers.

The Cat Garden class will begin at 10:00 am on Sunday, September 25th. The session will last for two hours.
