piphytic species such as air plants, mosses and lichens will be the stars of the show during a make and take session that’s on the way for Sherwood Park residents. These organisms don’t need soil to survive and typically live on the surface of plants; attendees of the session will learn all about how these plants work.
The team at Salisbury Greenhouses has organized a driftwood planter class, and it will use the unique character of this natural source material to compliment the plants selected. The only fee being charged is for materials, and the deposit required to secure a spot can be put towards the purchase of plants on site.
The instructor will walk the learners through the step of crafting the project. While they do, attendees will receive valuable tips for taking care of their new indoor garden. The session will run for at least two hours. The registrants shouldn’t need to bring anything with them.
A planting workshop may provide a fun and easy introduction to the art of home horticulture. Tip sheets and other handouts for an activity for events such as this one can be prepared by local Stationery printers.
The registration system for this introduction to driftwood planters is currently open. It will be held on April 22nd, beginning at 2:00pm. All are encouraged to participate.
