Sherwood Park celebrates country music

People in Sherwood Park were treated to two performances through the Association of Canadian Country Music Legends (ACCML) last weekend, on Sunday 24 January.

Tickets sold

for $40 and the two shows were held at the Festival Place, which is home to several major events in the city.

Performers included Rick Morgenstern, Bev Munro Alfie Myhre and Johnny Burke, among others. Each of the performing artists have fame in their own right and tour not only around Canada, but other countries as well.

Joyce Smith has released six albums and toured the world performing his music. Smith has had the honour of being conducted into several halls of fame, including the National Traditional Country Music Hall of Fame in the U.S., the Alberta Country Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.

Bev Munro has also achieved major accomplishments, including being named Mr. DJ USA and being inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.

The performances were promoted through various marketing services. A local printing company was likely involved in printing Flyers and the Banners displayed in the run up to the shows.

The ACCML began after a millennium project in 2000 turned into a huge success. Sixteen years later, the association is busy and continues to put on popular performances in different provinces across the country, including Saskatchewarn and Ontario.
