From burgers to brisket to chateaubriand, beef can be used in a variety of ways, and a Sherwood Park presentation will show how to convert a beef forequarter into an assortment of cuts.
The butchers at L’OCA provide locally sourced food, and its Head Butcher Dylan Carasco will be showing off his skills in its Beef Butchery 101 class. The meat will be raised in Alberta, and as he works, he will discuss topics that will help the audience make the most of this ingredient.
During the activity, Dylan will offer an introduction to the L'OCAs Butcher Program, and discuss the various cuts that can be made from a forequarter. After this, Chef Fabricio will prepare the steaks for serving to the crowd, and once Dylan is finished, everyone will receive a “butcher’s bag” to sample in their own kitchen. If they wish, they may be able to purchase some additional beef to take home.
The participants in an event where food preparation techniques will be demonstrated may appreciate cards printed with the recipe used. These can be prepared by Stationery printers.
The team at Sherwood Park LOCA Quality Market Ltd, which is located at 340 Baseline Road, has scheduled this activity from March 8th. It will start at 1:00 pm, and everyone has been asked to arrive a few minutes early so they can take their seats.
