While Fido and Fluffy may be wonderful members of the family, they do leave a carbon footprint, and a Sherwood Park event will address this issue head on.
The team at Strathcona County Utilities have scheduled “Poop-a-Palooza” for mid-August, and it's been set for Heritage Hills Off Leash Park. The whole family is welcome, and while it is aimed at addressing the impact of the canine and other companion animal set, it’s been requested that pets be left at home. Trained guide dogs will be welcome.
The activity will explore lots of actionable tips for reducing the environmental impact of the community’s pets, and it will be offered free of charge. An assortment of educational materials will be distributed and there will be a variety of prize draws for Corporate Gifts as well. It will run for two hours, and has been scheduled for the evening hours.
While companion animals may add a lot to a person’s life, they also come with responsibilities. Events that provide details on how to best care for a pet may be very appreciated, and a brochure printing company can provide Copies of handouts and other materials.
Stracona County Utilities will be helping to reduce Fido’s environmental impact by hosting this activity on August 15th. It will run from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Anyone who has questions or concerns is asked to call 780-449-5514.
