Sheep-themed celebration planned for Sherwood Park

Sherwood Park and the surrounding areas will be kicking off summer with a free activity that will introduce the public to some new woolly friends.

Fort Saskatchewan’s Legacy Park will be the venue for a festival where the sheep from River Valley will make an appearance. They will be the guests of honour for the annual celebration, which tends to attract a large crowd, and their arrival will be paired with a variety of activities suitable for the whole family.

The plans for the day include live entertainment, as well as food prepared by local eateries. At noon, the sheep will make their grand entrance. They will be on the way to their summer residence at Peter T. Ream Historic Park, and the attendees at the function will be able to watch them go by and wish them well.

Community festivals such as this are often a lot of fun, and they give local residents a chance to meet each other and mingle. A poster printing company will be able to prepare marketing materials that may be very helpful in building the buzz about such an activity.

The Legacy Park Family Festival will be adding some extra fun to Sherwood Park’s summer on June 4th. The fun will begin at 11:00 am, and there is lots of free parking on site.
