Pop-up market to showcase works of areas autistic crafting community

The holidays are on the horizon, and many people are starting their annual search to find the right gift for everyone on their list. Those who live in Sherwood Park may wish to make sure they include a stop at an area holiday market in their shopping plans for the season.

The whole community is invited to a pop-up retail experience that will offer more than just shopping. It has been organized by Autism Edmonton, and will showcase works created by autistic individuals.

The Autism Artisan Market will be set up for the public to browse through, and it will feature jewelry, art, photography, knitted articles, and many other items. While they browse through the displays, the shoppers will have a chance to speak with the artisans in person and learn more about the inspiration behind their products. A free cafe will be on site serving up coffee and other treats, and this is just the start of the fun to be had.

Those who come to the market can enjoy the entertainment provided by the carolers, and there will also be a magic show. Santa is set to come down from the North Pole to meet the kids who come out, and local Stationery printers can produce colouring Books, activity sheets, social storybooks, and other items that can be given to the kids who come to an event like this.

This opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate the spirit of the season will be held on December 2. It will be set up at 11434 120 Street Northwest in Edmonton.
