This summer, an event will celebrate Sherwood Park’s Scottish side, and everyone is welcome to get in on the fun.
The Sherwood Park Highland Gathering will include many of the games and other activities that have come to be part of a traditional Highland games day, but it will have its own special twist. Everyone who attends can count on having a great time, and while they do, they will be supporting the local small business community.
Caber tossing, shotput and other feats of strength are just some of the activities that are one the agenda, and music lovers can enjoy tunes supplied by the mass bands and bagpipes. Irish and Scottish dancers will be showing off their talents, and an artists’ walk has also been planned. Canine lovers can stop by the Agility Dogs demonstration, and the food truck and beer garden will make sure the crowd is well fed.
