The horticultural facility has transformed an area of its garden into an Arizona-style desert to give the opportunity for people to practice their putting skills. There will be $3 buckets of balls available, and all the proceeds raised will go directly to the shelter.
The manager of Greenland Garden Centre, Tina Burback, finds different ways throughout the year to fundraise for the shelter, as it is the main charity that the company supports.
This is the first time the center will be creating a putting green, and the garden will provide seating areas throughout for guests. Burback commented:
“As an example, if a husband and wife wanted to come to the garden centre, he can do some putting and raise money, while she can sit by the garden and have something from the restaurant.”
The monies raised will be going directly to the operating costs of the shelter, according to Jean Cremer, who works as a coordinator at A Safe Place. Cremer commented:
“Greenland has been a major supporter of the shelter since Day One.”
The fundraiser will be running until Easter Monday, on April 6th.
Businesses that are dedicated to raising money for charities can invest in a reputable flyer printing company to help spread their fundraising information throughout the community.
