Family-friendly festival returns to Strathcona County

The Ardrossan Old-Fashioned Parade and Picnic is taking place this June. It is a presentation of the Ardrossan Recreation and Agricultural Society.

The day will start off with a pancake breakfast at Strathcona County Fire Hall Station #3, at 7:00am. Later on, there will be a parade beginning on Range Road 222 at 11:00am.

The picnic and celebrations will begin at noon, and there will be vendors selling arts and crafts, community organizations providing information about their programs, and entertainment from a variety of local artists.

During the day, there will be lots of other things to do that will appeal to everyone in the family. This includes a craft sale at the Seniors’ Centre, market vendors, community food booths, and food trucks. Children's activities will include a bouncy castle, glitter tattoos, pony and wagon rides, games, and a petting zoo. To enjoy the bouncy castle, a wristband must be purchased for $5.

This event will likely attract visitors from all over Strathcona County, including Sherwood Park. To ensure the word is spread throughout the county, local Stationery printers may be asked to provide Flyers for advertising.

The Ardrossan Old-Fashioned Parade and Picnic will be held in the Hamlet of Ardrossan on June 13 from 7:00am - 4:00pm. To find out the latest information about this event, contact Diana at 780-885-8615.
