Conference for firefighters to be hosted in Sherwood Park

A Sherwood Park learning opportunity for firefighters has been rescheduled to this coming June, and it will give the participants new tools they can use to investigate electrical and natural gas fires.

The three days of learning will be focused on fires started by gas and electrical appliances, and along with the training, a written exam is on the agenda. The organizers have advised the registrants to bring along their laptops, and the schedule for the course includes a night of networking. Those who attend networking nights like this often have custom Business Cards prepared at a local business card printing company.

The students will have an opportunity to learn more about investigating a variety of fires, and the safe handling of natural gas will also be discussed. The registration fee covers the cost of learning materials, as well as morning pastries, coffee and lunch, and the participants may qualify for up to five continuing education credits. A block of rooms has been reserved at Sherwood Park’s Days Inn and Suites, and these will be offered at a reduced rate.

The 2021 Spring Seminar Electrical and Appliance Related Fires symposium will welcome delegates starting on June 15th. The function will wrap up on June 18th, and it will be held at the Strathcona County Emergency Services Head Quarters.
