Celebrate Irish Dance in Sherwood Park

The 9th annual Mattierin Spring Feis will take place at Millenium Place from April 27-29. Admission is free and the festival is presented by the Emerald Isle Dancer’s Association.

The festival will feature Irish competitive dance competitions throughout the day; the competitions will start with team and adult dancing, continue with “First Feis through Prizewinner” on Saturday and the champions will perform on Sunday. In addition, there will be lost of Irish music and displays of Irish and Celtic art. Those who attend will have the chance to win a $2500 travel voucher. The organization Dogs with Wings will also be on hand to raise money for their services.

Almost everyone enjoys watching Irish dancing and this will be a great family friendly way to spend a few days. Sherwood Park printing companies will most likely provide the organizers of the Spring Feis with banner printing, poster printing and brochure printing services. The odds are the winners of the dance competitions will receive ribbons which can also be provided by printing companies.

Dogs with Wings supplies assistance animals to those who need them. The organization raises puppies to become assistance dogs for those who are blind, autistic or suffer from the many other conditions that are helped by having a dog companion. They also require funds to house the adult dogs that are in training. The Spring 2012 Team Graduation for the dogs will be held on April 28 at the Edmonton Petroleum Club.
