The British Antiques Roadshow will be at Sherwood Park Mall from May 16 to May 18, 2011, giving residents the chance to have an expert cast their eye and appraise any family heirlooms or other valuables.
The British Antiques Roadshow has been a BBC television staple in the United Kingdom for 23 years. The show travels around to various cities in England, many times highlighting historic houses and buildings. Local residents bring antiques and collectibles to be appraised for value by a group of experts. Many times people are amazed as to what their item is actually worth. It will be very interesting to find out what types of antiques and collectibles the people of Sherwood Park and surrounding area bring to be appraised and what these items will be worth.
The Antiques Roadshow will be appearing in 12 Canadian cities this spring; among them Sherwood Park and Grand Prairie, AB. The Canadian tour is hosted by Maureen Wickham and David Freeman. Wickham is a Canadian antiques consultant and appraiser, while Freeman is an art historian who runs fine art consulting business. In addition to these two, John Murphy, Marshall K.
