Residents of Sherwood Park and surrounding communities are invited to tour some of the gardens and nurseries throughout the area.
The 16th Annual Strathcona County Garden Tour will provide participants with a self-guided tour of properties both in Sherwood Park and the rural areas that surround it. Intended by its organizers to appeal to young and old alike and be a fun outing for families, it will allow them to receive some inspiration by giving them a sneak peek into gardens they would not normally be able to see.
The event has organized as a fundraiser by the Friends of Strathcona County Library. Tickets cost $12 each, and there is no charge for those 12 and under. Refreshments, including cold drinks and hot dogs will be served at Aqualine Aquatic Plants for those who wish to take a break and have a snack. Brochures and maps can be printed for those who take part in this type of activity that give them further information about the gardens that they will be seeing, as well as directions on how to reach each one.
