Whether they are a true orchidophile or just enjoy the beauty of these exotic looking plants, an Edmonton area event will have lots to offer its attendees.
The 46th annual Orchid Fair will be kicking off spring, and it is the largest activity of its kind in all of Canada. It will be an American Orchid Society judged show, and there's other activities on the agenda as well.
Whether they are a rare exotic or a “grocery store” moth orchid, there will be lots of species in the mix, and there will be hundreds on full display. Vendors will be coming in from as far afield as Ecuador and Taiwan to join with local sellers, and everyone can benefit from a hands-on potting demonstration and cultural information. There will be at least 15,000 square feet to browse through, and an art exhibition and competition awards ceremony are on the agenda. General admission entry is $10.00.
A flower show or other horticulture competition may also include workshops and learning opportunities for the public. A local printer will be happy to prepare Copies of handouts as well as a Logo Design and other branding for an activity, which can be included on the Letterheads used for event related correspondence.
The 46th annual Orchid Fair will be held at the Enjoy Centre’s Moonflower room from April 10th to April 12th. It's on offer thanks to the efforts of the Orchid Society of Alberta.
