While a pond may look calm and sedate, there is often a lot going on below the surface, and an Edmonton event will introduce families to this underwater world.
The City of Edmonton Pest Management Lab, Alberta Environment and Protected Areas - Water Projects Management team, the Alberta Amphibian and Reptile Conservancy and the Cold Lake Fish Hatchery have teamed up to offer Family Nature Nights: Fish Tales to the public. It is for kids to attend, along with their parents or guardians, and as only a limited number of spots are available, everyone is advised to arrive early so they do not miss out.
The group will be taking to the pond at Hermitage Park, and they will be using dip nets and other gear. They will meet some fish face to face, and they will also learn about the reptiles and amphibians that call Alberta home. The function will be held rain or shine, and but if the weather is extreme, it may need to be cancelled.
While there is no fee for this activity, donations will be gratefully appreciated, and there may also be volunteer opportunities. Activity Books, as well as other Promotional Products that may be needed for an event like this, will be available from a Print professional.
Registration for the Family Nature Nights: Fish Tales will begin at 6:00 pm on August 9th. The session itself has a start time of 6:30 pm.
