Edmonton, and the rest of the province, takes a lot of pride in its agricultural sector, and this vital portion of its economy will be taking centre stage during the Alberta on the Plate initiative.
This tribute to the ranchers, farmers and food artisans that get involved with the program will be utilizing locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Its schedule runs for ten days in early August, and both long standing and new establishments will be included.
Local foodies and others who would like to join the fun can choose to dine out at the eateries that will be on the list, and craft beers, wines and sodas will be in the mix along with the food. At least 13 businesses have signed on for the activity, and they will have fixed price Menus that showcase area sourced processors and ingredients. It will coincide with Albert Open Farm Days weekend.
Restaurants, food trucks and other eateries that participate in food focused local events may find that Print shops are helpful partners to have in their corner. They can supply everything from printed menus, paper napkins and tableware to full vehicle wraps as well as Graphic Design Services.
Alberta on the Plate will be bringing food filled fun to Edmonton from August 8th to August 17th. Its website included a list of three participating establishments and other information.
