Edmonton golfers tee off in charity tournament

This June, golfers from Edmonton and surrounding areas will be heading to a local course to enjoy golfing for a cause.

This year marks the 12th annual Maier Centre for Autism’s 12th annual Charity Golf Tournament, and The Quarry Run Golf Club will welcome the fundraiser. The proceeds will help to fund programs for autistic kids and their families, and the event will start in the early morning.

When they arrive for the day, the registered golfers can check in and enjoy breakfast before its time to tee off. The sound of a shotgun firing will signal the start of play, and at lunch, everyone will return to the clubhouse to take their seat for the banquet and awards presentation. A silent auction is on the agenda, and there is a sponsorship program in place. Tickets for the activity are $249.00 each.

Golf tournaments and other fundraisers are often friendly competitions, with the winners, and also the losers, being presented with fun prizes. These can be crafted by printers that offer Corporate Gifts and other custom items which can be personalized for a particular occasion.

The 2025 Maier Centre for Autism Charity Golf Tournament will take to the course on June 13th. Tickets for the day may sell out quickly, and they can be purchased through its web listing.
