Edmonton event breathes new life into old outfits

Living a more sustainable lifestyle doesn't have to be a complicated process, and an Edmonton activity planned for its female professionals will help point the way.

A clothing exchange will soon be providing a way for those who take part to pass along pieces they no longer want to some else who will give them a good home. In return, they will be able to choose some “new to you” items for themselves.

Each ticket holder for the event is asked to supply between 5 and 10 pieces of clothing, and accessories are also welcome. These may be dropped off at one of the collection stations, and each attendees will receive five tickets they can redeem for items during the exchange. A personal stylist will be on hand to offer fashion advice, and there will be lots of time for mixing and mingling. Speakers will provide a presentation discussing sustainability, and refreshments will be available.

To add more excitement to the gathering, a door prize draw has been planned. Businesses often order Corporate Gifts to donate as draw prizes for an activity when it receives a sponsorship or support request.

Sort and Style Exchange will be helping to make fashion more eco-friendly on April 3rd. It's scheduled for The Creative Hive, and more information, including contact details for the organizers, can be found on its virtual listing.
