Edmonton cement plant offers engineering tour

Edmonton is home to the Heidelberg Materials Edmonton Cement Plant, and an activity will provide an insider’s view of its day to day operations.

The venue will be opening its doors for engineers, and it will include areas that are not usually open to visitors. The registrants will arrive and be greeted by the facilitator before the tour begins, and its listing explained that PPE is required, including steel toed boots, hard hats, safety Vests, gloves and glasses.

The attendees will learn how cement is made and also how it is used in a variety of ways. They can network with industry professionals, ask questions and add to their personal knowledge base. Lunch will be provided to those taking the tour, and this portion of the day will include a presentation and question and answer session. Everyone who Signs up is asked to meet up at the venue’s “Services Building”.

A tour can give those interested in a specific industry the opportunity to learn more from those who work in the sector. A brochure printing company will be able to compile kits to distribute so the participants can continue to learn on their own.

This insider's view of the Heidelberg Materials Edmonton Cement Plant will be running from 11:30 am until 2:00 pm on January 23rd. Tickets for the activity are $10.00 each.
