Edmonton Indy roars back to life

The Stationery printers in Edmonton, Alberta, have a lot of time to supply Print advertisements for the newly relaunched Edmonton Indy. The Edmonton Indy is scheduled to come back to life later this year after an incident that briefly saw Edmonton lose its signature racing event.

A couple of weeks ago, the Edmonton Indy was all set again, in spite of the problems caused by the event’s previous promoter, Northlands, the city administration, and the Edmonton City Council. However, the new promoter on the event is highly pleased that the event is scheduled to go forward for summer of 2011.

Octane Motorsports Event Inc.’s president, Francois Dumontier, quickly began offering lower ticket prices to fans as a way of making up for the sour taste left in their mouths from the earlier mismanagement by the previous organisers.

At a press conference covering the relaunch of the Indy, Dumontier introduced GM Anne Roy, a woman who has had more than her fair share of experience with racing. Roy was an executive with the Formula Atlantic support series event, which brought her to Edmonton in prior years.

One factor that also helped to return the Edmonton Indy to the city was a cost savings of sort. The new promoter, Octane, struck a deal with IndyCar that was a million dollars less per year than previous agreements of their kind.

Stationery printers in the city of Edmonton have a golden opportunity to help market this return of IndyCar racing to this location.
