An Edmonton venue that is focused on birds has a program running this winter that will visit classrooms as well as community service and other groups with a presentation that will explore the area’s fine feathered friends.
The crew at the Beaverhill Bird Observatory runs its BirdSmart program during the winter months, and when this piece was prepared, bookings for visits were still being accepted. Each will be geared to the age level and interest of the audience.
The presentations will explore conservation topics through an avian lens, and most will include tips for being a good friend to the feathery set. Additional activities, including crossword puzzles and sketching, may be included as well, and if possible, a live bird of prey such as an owl will also be visiting. The events can be tailored in other ways as well, and the price will depend on the location, length of the activity and other factors.
When preparing for a presentation, organizers often turn to local printers to provide them with poster printing and other services. They can also prepare themed Promotional Products to hand out.
Edmonton schools, groups and others who would like to learn more about their fine feathered friends and have fun doing so are welcome to book their presentation now. Anyone interested can contact the organizers and make their arrangements through the Beaverhill Bird Observatory website.
