Edmonton entrepreneurs help Bolivian kids

Two entrepreneurs from Edmonton have found a way to give something back by helping children in need in Bolivia.

The pair just recently came back from a trip to see how the funds they have donated are being used.

Matt Moreau and Kori Chilliback own the Earth group of companies. They sell coffee, tea and water all over the world, and turn the entire net profit of their enterprises to the World Food Program, which is operated by the United Nations.

On their trip to Bolivia, they were able to help pay for necessities like water, food, and education for the children there who live in poverty.

This marks the second year that they have lent a helping hand in that county. Their efforts this year included providing almost 500,000 meals to hungry kids, and also paying to have a well installed that provides clean water. The food helps to keep the children fed, so that they can attend school and concentrate on their studies instead of worrying about going hungry.

Brochure printers can make a difference by producing pamphlets that let people know how important their contributions can be.

According to Chillibeck, seeing first hand where the money they give goes was an eye-opening experience. They are challenging other Edmonton residents to do their part as well.
