Edmonton activity to help build beautiful gardens
Savvy gardeners know that fall can be a great time to plant perennials, and Edmonton residents who would like to add a few new species to their beds may want to stop by an upcoming event.
The Edmonton Horticultural Society offers a range of programming and events throughout the calendar year, and its Fall Perennial Exchange is right around the corner. It is not necessary to bring items to swap, but those who do will be able to go home with some new plants.
Those who have outdoor plants or houseplants they would like to exchange are asked to bring them along, and there will also be an assortment of horticultural supplies available for purchase. Arnica Wildflowers will be on site with a selection of native plants for sale, and the public can ask questions and receive tips for making their selection. Anyone concerned about Covid can wear their gardening gloves.
Fall can be a great time for a pop-up horticultural market, and signage for this sort of activity can be sourced from a local banner printing company. It will also be able to provide packaging supplies and other materials.
The Edmonton Horticultural Society had made arrangements to host its Fall Plant Exchange on Saturday, September 24th. It will be taking place starting at 10:00 am at 10748 178 Street NW.
