Ukrainian food and culture to take centre stage in Calgary

Zabava is the Ukrainian word for ‘party’, and the whole city will soon be celebrating the food, and culture that hails from Ukraine.

The 9th annual Calgary Ukrainian Festival is coming fast, and plans for the two-day event include everything from food to music. Kids can enjoy the activities that have been planned with them in mind, and with pours of premium beer and vodka, adults will be able to get in on the fun as well.

The festival’s main stage will see a variety of performances on both days, and there will be traditional Ukrainian food for the public to sample. Anyone who would like to do some gift buying for themselves, a family member or friend can visit the market, and tickets for the function can be purchased at the door.

The Saturday night will be reserved for a special Zabava, which will see the adults in the crowd celebrate until the clock strikes midnight.
