Calgary hosts Halloween fundraising bash

A Halloween party with a purpose is on the way for Calgary, and it will do a good turn for local companion animals in need.

The Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) will be hosting a frightfully fun fundraiser in late October, and it is expected to be a sellout. It will offer a retro experience for those ages 19 and up, and this will be its 4th year.

The guests at the celebration will be able to play games from when they were kids such as bobbing for apples and cornhole and a trivia contest are also in the works. A scavenger hunt will add some extra excitement, and fortune tellers will also be on hand. Everyone can bid on the sweets in the cake auction, and signature cocktails will be poured as well. The tunes will be from the 70s, 80s and 90’, and costume contests will see some of the attendees go home with a prize.

While the activity may be fun, it will also have a higher purpose, as it will raise both funds for AARCS and awareness of its work. Banner printing companies can prepare themed party decor as well as materials that provide a glimpse into how the activity will make a positive impact.
