Market to showcase both Scandinavian and locally crafted products

Scandinavia has a long history of celebrating the winter holidays with its own unique traditions, and a Calgary group will soon be hosting a market that will feature handmade crafts from the region.

Those who attend the Christmas Bazaar and Sale being planned by the Scandinavian Cultural Society will be able to kick off the holiday season in style, and they may just be able to complete their gift buying all under one roof. Additional vendors are welcome to hop aboard, and table bookings for the day are $30 for a six-foot table and $35 for one measuring eight feet.

The handmade items that will be on offer will range from Scandinavian crafts to woodworking, toys, paintings, jewellery and knitted articles. Anyone who would like a bite to eat will be able to purchase a selection of luncheon items, and admission to the function is $1 per person.

By giving local vendors an opportunity to showcase their works, an event like this can do a good turn for the area’s business community. Print shops can supply a full line of inexpensive marketing options for the function.

The 2020 Scandinavianlocation-Calgary Christmas Bazaar and Sale is scheduled for November 8. It will be held in the Scan Centre, and anyone who is interested in applying to sell at the event can submit their application now.
