The 69th Grand Highland Military Ball is taking place in Calgary next month.
Presented by the Calgary Highlanders Officers’ Association, the event is a fundraiser for the Calgary Highlanders Regiment Funds Foundation.
The evening will start off with a cocktail reception where members of the regiment and the public can network with one another. This will be followed by a Grand March into dinner. There will also be plenty of entertainment throughout the night. Some of those who will be performing are the Regimental Pipes and Drums, the Calgary Highlanders Cadet Corps, and the Dino Martinis Dance Band.
There will also be Scottish country dancing to watch and to participate in. For those who are interested, the Regiment is offering a free Scottish dance lesson this Thursday, March 1, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.
The gala will also be honoring author Jack Whyte.
Sponsorships are available for $500 to $10,000. In addition, donations of $150 will pay for a veteran or someone currently serving.
It is likely that a Calgary Stationery printing firm will be asked to provide printed Invitations to ensure a large turnout.
The Grand Highland Military Ball will be held at the Hyatt Regency Calgary on March 3 from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Tickets are $150 each. Visit the event website for more information.
