This fall, a special event has been planned for Bow Valley Ranch in Calgary’s Fish Creek Provincial Park, and according to its organizers, it will offer a frightfully good time for all.
Over the years, a group of ghost stories and other urban legends have developed around the park, and these will form the basis of the activity. Those who take part will be able to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate while they are led on a guided evening tour of the property while Wayne Meikle, shares his knowledge of the property’s history will tales from the past.
The walk is open to all ages, although its planners advise it may be a little too creepy for the younger children. The participants are encouraged to come dressed in their best costume, but are reminded to also dress for the weather as it will be outdoors and may be cool.
The ticket price is $7 each, and the proceeds will be used to help support the activities of the Friends of Fish Creek conservation organization. Promotional Postcards can be sent to local households to help promote an activity like this throughput the area.
This showcase of the park’s scarier side has been planned for October 24. Spaces are limited, so the organizers have advised people to register early through the group's website.
