Calgary potential adoptive parents offered learning opportunity

There are many ways of building a family, and those who are considering adoption can learn more if they take part in a Calgary late summer workshop.

Adoption by Choice has created its pre-adoption workshops to help give potential adoptive families information to allow them to create a positive environment in which a new addition to their family can thrive. It will address the challenges that sometimes come up when adoption so that these new families can face them head on.

During the workshop, the participants will be asked to consider adoption from a child’s point of view, and the legalities of the process will also be discussed. They will develop a greater understanding of the experiences of a birth parent, and also talk about how to begin the conversation with their son or daughter about why their first family may have made the choices they did.

Attending a session like this can help to ensure a positive experience for both the birth and adoptive family. A brochure printing company can craft pamphlets and other handouts for this sort of occasion.

Adoption by Choice has made arrangements to offer this workshop on September 12 and 13, and the registrants are asked to attend both days. It will be on offer at 3115 12 Street NE.
