Calgary golfers to support neighbours in need

When it comes to helping their neighbours heal from trauma, everyone can have a role to play, and this is the impetus behind a fundraising golf tourney planned for a Calgary course.

The Winston Golf Club will soon see players tee off in support of the Breaking Free Foundation, and the tournament will open in the early morning. A goal of raising $50,000 has been set for the occasion, and the planners are hoping for a great turnout.

Anyone who has been hoping for an excuse to head to the links can either sign up on their own or as part of a twosome or foursome. There is also a lunch-only option for those who cannot make the game or do not enjoy golf. The golfers will play through 18 holes before lunch is served, and a silent auction and prize presentation will also take place.

To thank the registrants for their support of the cause, everyone will go home with a swag bag of Promotional Products. There is a sponsorship program on offer for local businesses that would like to go the extra mile.

The Breaking Free Golf Tournament Fundraiser is set to tee off on Thursday, August 17th. The shotgun start is set for 8:00 am, and tourney packages start at $250.00 for a single player.
