Calgary gamers are invited to take part in an upcoming event that will put their skills to the test in competition with their fellow computer game experts.
The weekend-long Lanified! 25Colossal tournament, which is scheduled to take place in the Stampede Grounds Agriculture Building, will see 300 participants taking each other on in their choice of five different games. The line-up includes, DotA 2, Hearthstone, Rocket League, Starcraft II, Counterstrike Go! and there will be prizes awarded for first place winner in each one.
Since each person who takes part will be required to bring along their own PC, this will be a chance for those who like to upgrade and tweak their system to show them off to their fellow enthusiasts.
Organizer Tristan Marler reminded those who might be interested in taking part that even though it is a competition, it is also a fun and friendly event. Both individual and teams of players are welcome. Customized Banners can be used to decorate these types of large functions.
Mr. Maler further went on to say that there is a strong gaming community in Calgary, and he hopes that this is just the start of a trend towards organized events where enthusiasts can come together to play the game they love.
The tournament is set to take place on March 18th, 19th and 20th. Anyone who would like to learn more can visit the LANified! 25: Colossal event’s website.
