Calgary expo to give scaly creatures spotlight

When it comes to companion animals, the cute and cuddly may not be everyone’s cup of tea, and a Calgary event has been organized with scaly specimens in mind.

The “We’re Off to See the Lizards” reptile expo is being hosted by the Alberta Reptile and Amphibian Society, and the venue for the two days will be the Absolute Baseball Academy and Fitness Centre. Parking is free, and the adult admission ticket price starts $8.45, including fees and taxes. Children's and family passes are also available.

The function will bring together a wide assortment of breeders, equipment suppliers and other companies in the field of herpetology, and it will be facilitated by a group of volunteers. Service animals with a government-issued ID are welcome, but other pets will need to be left at home. The attendees will be able to meet with the vendors, and there will be a variety of subject matter experts on hand so everyone can ask any questions they might have about their scaly pet.

Expos give those who share a common interest an opportunity to gather, meet new friends and learn. The companies that take part often choose to order Business Cards to hand out to the crowd.

We’re Off to See the Lizards will give the scaly set some time in the spotlight on May 28th and 29th. It will be open from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm on both days.
