While Calgary may be a long way from the ocean, its younger residents will still be able to get a taste of what it is like to be a mermaid when they attend a local summer activity.
During the YYC Princess Mermaid Academy, local kids will have a chance to earn their fins by taking part in a variety of activities that will all have an under-the-sea theme. Children from age four to nine are welcome, and the day camp will be all about having fun and making new friends.
The attendees will discover the ins and outs of life as a mermaid, and there will be crafts, singing lessons, sand castle building and lots of other fun on offer. They will each receive a mermaid makeover, including a tail, and photos will be taken as a memento of the experience. All of the performers will be fully CPR certified and swim trained.
Each participant in the two-day program is asked to bring sunscreen, their bathing suit and a light snack. Parents will be asked to sign a liability waiver when they register, and these sorts of business Forms can be prepared by a company that crafts Letterheads and other custom Stationery.
