Calgary couples offered seats in relationship seminar

Whether they are engaged, newlyweds or have been married for a long time, couples who would like to learn how to better their relationship may wish to attend an upcoming workshop planned for Calgary.

The Hotel Blackfoot has been selected to serve as the venue for a running of the Gottman “7 Principles for Making Marriage Work” seminar, which will be a relationship-focused event. It will use principles formed after many years of working with couples, and it must be noted that it is not intended for situations where there is domestic abuse.

The participants will learn how they can improve their relationship by following the principles that will be taught, and one of the main goals is for the attendees to develop a deeper understanding of their partner. The registration fee is $372.32, including fees and taxes, and a portion if this may be covered by insurance or benefits providers.

At the end of the eight-hour activity, everyone will go home with a set of materials so they can continue to learn and grow together as a couple. Texts, handouts and other items for such a workshop can be obtained from area Stationery printers.

The 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work will be offered on November 19th, and it will begin at 8:30 am. The seminar will continue on until 4:30pm.
